Procedures
Certification Programs - Your Audio OR Video File is Available 27/7 and either as MP3 Download for MP3 Player (iPod) OR Online, Using Your Computer.
You will notice that our individual courses are grouped into three "Single Certification Programs." Each of these programs has a specific intent and focus:
I. Online Practice
Our first certification is for you if you wish to augment your existing training and experience with specific coursework to develop proficiency as an online counselor or therapist. This proficiency indentifies you as a professional who has demonstrated an advanced skill set for working with clients and patients online through telepsychiatry, telepsycholgy or telecounseling.
II. Offline Practice
Our second certification offers signifies that you have been trained in the relevant legal, ethical and practical issues related to telepsychology, that is establishing and maintaining your professionalism as an offline practitioner using the Internet for advertising or marketing as well as personal reasons. It will help you navigate ethical and legal guidelines for online marketing, self-disclosure, developing and maintaining a practice website. It will help you identify and use relevant sources of counseling and psychotherapy resources online as well as stimulate your thinking regarding how you might use various technologies in your practice without actually practicing online.
III. Theory of Internet Psychology
Our third certification gives you an understanding of the research and application of internet psychology, that is, the psychology of behaviors on the Internet. Behaviors examined include: Internet overuse (sometimes referred to as "addiction"); online gambling, online gaming, infidelity, pornography, sexuality, romance, virtual life etc.
IV. Comprehensive Telemental Health Certification
Our fourth certification includes all components of the previous three programs. It therefore is a comprehensive certification that signifies that you have reached the highest level of proficiency available through our training program. Recipients of the certification will be invited to participate in future classes and in our university offerings as "Moderators" for our future students. Moderators will be invited to participate in specialized research as well as instructional activities and given monetary compensation for specific services rendered.
Beta Phase
All courses are in Beta Phase development at this time, and made available to you within 6 to 8 weeks of your purchase. During that time you may be invited to participate from the comfort of your computer to attend live recording session(s) as our schedule unfolds. Whether or not you can attend the live recording of any particular class, you'll be asked to send in your questions ahead of time and they will be addressed during the class. These recordings may occur any time during the week or weekend, and will be scheduled to accommodate the faculty member teaching the course.
Classes are edited and placed in our library of audio recorded webinars. Upon ordering you'll receive a receipt for your purchase, and be notified by both an email and telephone call when finalized courses are available. Please be sure to leave multiple types of contact information when you complete your order, so that we may contact you even if your email or any other elements of your contact information have changed.
You are then given access to our library of audio recorded webinars. Webinars include both audio and video components for you to choose your preferred mode to learn.
Do I Need Video to Participate?
No. All you absolutely need is the ability to listen to pre-recorded audio files, whether through your computer's speakers, a headset plugged into your computer, or through an MP3 player such as an iPod or
You then will be asked to participate in a course review process so that we may obtain detailed information about your experience, your evaluation of the course content and the faculty member. Your input is crucial to our growth as a facility, and we are discounting our price to you so as to obtain this feedback. CEU & CME
As a training facility, we are credentialed through Alliant University to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and are in the process of obtaining approval from other leading professional associations to provide continuing education (CE) and continuing medical education (CME) units toward state licensure in psychology throughout the United States, as well as counseling and nursing in California.
Alliant International University (AIU) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. AIU maintains responsibility for the program and its content. AIU is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide continuing education for MFTs and LCSWs (provider # PCE234). AIU is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to provide continuing education for Nurses (provider # CEP11235).
We are currently in the process of seeking further credentialing to allow for approval to deliver Continuing Medical Education (CME) as well as continuing education units (CEUs) from social work and specific counseling professional associations.
We are currently applying for approval through the following organizations below.

- American Counseling Association (ACA)
- American Psychiatric Association (APA)
- American Nurses Cedentialing Center (ANCC)
- National Board For Certified Counselors (NBCC)
