Course Description

Factors influencing the development and adoption of online counseling as well as changes to the legislature influencing online counseling are examined in detail.

Required client education components, including family education, setting the client's enviroment, cross-disciplinary contacts with primary care provider and specialists, and documentation of all these essential discussions with the client or patient.

Planning for off-duty hours, vacations, including community emergency backup systems will include family, friends and social support team development.

Class participants leave with extensive resource lists and other tools to sustain a sense of community with other professionals who also practice on the Internet. A community is also fostered and supported within this class, and this group camaraderie is fostered afterward.
